Sanka Ramesh with a fine all-round performance of 6 for 56 and a
solid unbeaten knock of 76 runs enabled Moratu Vidyalaya to fight back
against formidable St Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa in their
inter-school under 19 tournament cricket match worked off at Vidyalaya
grounds. Sanka Ramesh has already claimed 56 victims and scored 502 runs
in eight outings for the season.
At the end of day one Vidyalians were 140 for 6 in reply to Sebs
total of 212. Their chief run-getter for the season Deshan Dias top
scored with an elegant 68 runs while former skipper Anuk de Alwis had a
patient knock of 61 runs.

which began at Kandana yesterday.
