Police raid ganja plantation

Katugastota Police raided a one acre ganja plantation in the Sahangala Forest reserve in Hasalaka and destroyed nearly 5,000 ganja plants which had grown to a height of about 3 feet recently.

Investigations revealed that the plantation belonged to an army deserter.

A team led by Sub Inspector Shantha Bandara is conducting investigations directed by Senior DIG Gamini Navaratne to arrest the suspect involved.
