Significant growth compared to many developed
countries:
Sri Lanka records 1.5 percent GDP growth in 1 Q, 2009
Sri Lanka recorded a 1.5 percent GDP growth for
the first quarter of 2009, the Department of Census and Statistics
said yesterday. The three main sectors of agriculture, industry and
services of GDP grew by 3 percent, 1.9 percent and 1 percent.
