Lankans hit back strongly

CRICKET: The Sri Lanka under 19 team after been dismissed for 160 runs hit back strongly to reduce the touring Indian under 19 side to 77 for 5 in their first innings on the opening day of their two day warm up match which began at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

Sri Lanka under 19: 160 (I. Udayanga 60, C. Jayampathi 29, B. Samarawickrema 26, K. P. Appanna 3 for 12, S. Singh 2 for 37, D. Kulkarni 3 for 14)

India under 19: 77 for 5 (A. Mukund 22, V. Khohil 29, C. Jayampathi 2 for 12, A. Ahmed 2 for 24).
