Thurstan win by 35 runs

Thurstan College beat their arch rivals Issipathana Vidyalaya by 35 runs in their inter-school under 17 division one tournament cricket match conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and worked off at Thurstan grounds.

Thurstanites batted first and scored 164 runs with Isuru Fernando making the top score of 35 runs while Youmesh Ranasinghe claimed 3 for 27. In reply Pathanians were bowled out for 129 runs with Akila Ranatunga capturing 3 for 19.

Thurstan - 164 (Isuru Fernando 35, Thimira Jayasinghe 20, Udara Mallawage 20, Senal Wijesinghe 25, Youmesh Ranasinghe 3/27).

Issipathana - 129 (Danura Ranasinghe 28, Akila Ranatunge 3/19, Ayesh Weerarathne 2/24).
