Pasindu and Avisha steer Ananda

A fine unbeaten 125 by Pasindu Isira helped Ananda College to beat St. Benedict's College, Kotahena by 144 in their under-17 division one cricket match played at Ananda grounds recently.

Batting first Ananda scored 263 for eight wickets in their alloted 50 overs. Pasindu's ton and Shanal Korale's knock of 44 runs were the highlights of Ananda innings while C. Sumanatilake captured 2/37 for Bens.

In reply, Bens were skittled out for 119 runs in 34 overs with Avisha Wilwalaarachchi doing the biggest damage taking 4/28 while D. Sadaken cpatured 3/11. G. Jayatilaka contributed 31 runs to Bens total.
