Freedom of expression and creativity were the key slogans at this
year’s Junior Art Exhibition of The British School in Colombo and worked
off in the junior classes last week.
The exhibition, held under the theme, Fantasia, produced some glowing
creations as it brought out the creativity, imaginativeness, ability and
the talents of the students ranging from the nursery up to year six.
The title, Fantasia itself provided the students a huge area to cover
where they could imagine and become very expressive on different themes
like underwater, expression on trees and feelings coming out through
facial expressions which helped them to reveal their inner creativity.
This year’s event was not merely about paint and art work, but of a
broader scope. The students were given a huge amount of substances from
recycle materials to natural materials like sawdust, wood, dried leaves,
roots and household items which gave them the opportunity to expose
themselves to a range of creations.
The British School in Colombo stretches the talents of every child to
ensure an all-round education. |
