CA Sri Lanka strengthens partnership with teaching colleges
In a fresh initiative aimed at strengthening partnerships with
various stakeholders, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri
Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), in its capacity as a leading tertiary education
provider in the country, recently recognized several prominent teaching
colleges for their invaluable service offered by providing tuition to
thousands of students following CA Sri Lanka's globally recognized
qualification.

A total of 11 teaching colleges, were awarded certificates by the
Institute for conducting tuition for strategic level and certificate
level students
IBA Campus, Institute for Accounting Studies, Jayasekera Management
Centre (Pvt) Ltd., and Knowledge Base Business Studies (Pvt) Ltd., were
recognized under the strategic and certificate levels, while Harvard
Business School, Institute of Professional Management, Jaffna College
Undergraduate Department, Kalmunai Business School, Minka Business
School, Sipwin Institute and the First Kandiyan International (Pvt)
Ltd., were awarded CA Sri Lanka certificates under certificate level.
CA Sri Lanka President, Sujeewa Rajapakse noted that the primary
objective of recognizing the teaching colleges is to further strengthen
the ties shared between the Institute and the tuition colleges for a
more mutually beneficial future, which will also ensure in a skilled and
professionally qualified workforce for the country.
"In ensuring that this objective becomes a reality, CA Sri Lanka has
launched a fresh initiative aimed at registering teaching colleges which
deliver lectures on the CA programme for the benefit of our mammoth
student base counting to over 41,000 scattered across various parts of
Sri Lanka. This new initiative will provide benefits and support to
teaching colleges and lecturers in delivering lectures which will
ultimately help improve the students' performance," he emphasized.
The CA Education process is a four way process which includes a
relevant and globally recognized curriculum, class room lectures,
Internship and examinations.
Chief Executive Officer of CA Sri Lanka, Aruna Alwis explained that
CA Sri Lanka has consistently endeavored towards ensuring that all our
stakeholders are provided with the best of services and facilities at
all times, and therefore the recognition of teaching colleges is also
one such important step in this continuing endeavor.
"Today we witnessed some of the country's leading teaching colleges
being recognized by our Institute. This is the first step in a long and
very rewarding partnership," he pledged. |
