Scientific Congress begins today

The Sri Lanka Medical Association is scheduled to host the 126th Anniversary Scientific Congress from July 9 to 13 2013 at Waters Edge, Battaramulla. The chief guest for the Congress will be the President of the British Medical Association, Professor Sir Sabaratnam Arulkumaran.

There will be several pre-congress workshops, breakfast sessions, keynote addresses, luncheon events, symposia and guest lectures, all designed to bring state-of-the-art academic information to medical and allied healthcare personnel. A significant number of foreign experts on many important subjects will take part in the deliberations. The ultimate beneficiaries of the academic disclosures would be the people of Sri Lanka.

The Congress is a much looked forward to scholastic event. The State Pharmaceuticals Corporation of Sri Lanka has come forward as the Principal Gold Sponsor for the Main Congress and underlined it as a gesture towards their Corporate Social Responsibility to the people of our country.

In addition there are several other Silver and General Sponsors for the event as well. The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon is the main media sponsor for the event.
