Coach Education Unit of Sri Lanka Cricket were travelling round the
country spreading the new techniques of the game to the local coaches.
This unit visited the Central Province recently. The Education Unit in
cricket is as follows:-

Coaching in Fast Bowling, Roger Wijesuriya - Basic and Advance Coaching
in Batting, Nuwan Senaviratne - Fielding coaching, Piyal Wijeratne -
Advance coaching in Spin Bowling, Heshan de Mel - Basic Coaching in Spin
Bowling.
This unit has already visited North, Eastern and Southern Provinces,
expressed its views to the Cricket Coaches over 150 in the Central
Province. 60 coaches attended this refresher course. The cricket coaches
who attended the Course told the correspondent that it was a useful one
and to make use of what they learn for their coaching. |
