Ananda - swimming champions
Ananda College Colombo emerged victorious by becoming the Champions
of the National Age Group Swimming Relay Championship, organized by the
Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union which was held at the Sugathadasa
National Sports Complex last week.

Two new meet records with a great performance were set by the Ananda
College Swimmers of Malinka Jayasekara, Chirantha De Silva, Abilasha
Pathirana and Thisara Wickramasrachchi in the under 19 50x4 Medley relay
with a time of 1.55.11 and 50x4 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1.42.68.
In the Under 10 and 12 category jounr swimmers also won 1st place
with both relay events and showed their greatest talents.
This victory was made possible under the captaincy of Thavishka
Guruge and the untiring efforts of the coach of Ananda College Nishantha
Kumarapperuma. |
