Over 15,000 dengue cases up to June

Over 15,000 dengue cases have been reported during the first six months of this year, Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors' Union (SLPHIU) Chief Secretary Senarath Bandara said.

He said over 334,528 spot inspections were carried out during this period.

"Out of this, 14,035 mosquito breeding sites were identified, 10,915 persons issued warnings and 3,119 persons found guilty of having dengue breeding grounds, were produced before court," Bandara said.
