STC Matara thrash Rahula by nine wickets

St Thomas' College Matara thrashed Rahula College by nine wickets in their under 17 division one cricket encounter played at the Uyanwatta stadium on Tuesday (2nd). Batting first Rahula struggled to reach 110 runs in 40 overs. Dinuka Madushan scored 20 while Vidath Jayanidu and Dilum Krishan captured three wickets each. STC scored 111 for the loss of one wicket in 22 overs with skipper Lasith Lakshan continuing his good batting form was unbeaten on 80 scored off 68 balls with 10 boundaries and three sixes. Dilum Krishan was unbeaten on 21. The two of them shared an unbeaten second wicket partnership of 98 runs.
