Circular to govt offices on dengue eradication

Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga requested all heads of departments to pay immediate attention to eradicate mosquito breeding sites in their departmental premises and to keep the environment clean. Secretary Weeratunga has sent a circular in this regard to all secretaries of ministries, provincial chief secretaries, district secretaries (government agents), provincial governors' secretaries and heads of departments.

All government departments are expected to take prompt action to eradicate mosquito breeding sites from their premises.

The heads of departments are requested to summon emergency meetings to discuss matters regarding eradicating mosquito breeding sites and to submit progress reports.
