Annual Pichchamal Pooja at Anuradhapura

The annual 'Pichchamal Pooja' which was organized by the Shanthi Foundation, under the directions of the Presidential Secretariat, would be held on July 6 under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa for the 24 consecutive occasion near the Sacred Jayasri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura, the Shanthi Foundation announced yesterday.

As thousands of devotees were expected to participate at the festival, special transport arrangement have been made by deploying extra trains and buses from July 5 to 7.
