CNCI Achiever Awards 2013 for Industrial Excellence

The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries CNCI , the Pioneer Industry Chamber in Sri Lanka firmly believes that recognizing the achievements and admiring the operational excellence of the Sri Lankan industrialists and duly awarding them is an utmost importance and a national duty .

As such the much admired and poplar awards for the industrial and manufacturing services sector in Sri Lanka , the well known CNCI Achiever Awards 2013 will be featured once again for the 12th consecutive year in Sri Lanka . The achiever Awards which are earmarked as a bench mark of Industrial excellence is organized by the foremost service facilitator to the Sri Lankan industry , the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries CNCI.

During this year 2013 , it was observed that a large number of well known and established corporate sector Industrial and manufacturing services sector enterprises have forward their applications for this much awaited and anticipated competition of the year. It is indeed an interesting feature to note the enthusiasm displayed by such Industrial giants in order to secure a well earned grand award at this much appreciated grand Achiever Awards competition .

The specific feature of CNCI Achiever awards will be that all Sri Lankan Enterprises operating their Manufacturing and service Industries in SAARC Countries such as India , Pakistan , Bangladesh , Nepal and Maldives are also awarded , while the SAARC Country Industry specific Industries who apply through their respective Chambers of Industry & Commerce are also eligible to apply for Awards. The objective of the Chamber CNCI is to establish closer affiliation and bilateral relations with all our Friendly SAARC Countries as well as to establish friendly ties with the overseas Industrial counterparts . This unique feature is an important step towards achieving economic and industrial cooperation between those countries and Sri Lanka .

As quoted by Kumara Kandalama , the Secretary General / CEO of the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries CNCI , a large number of enthusiastic applicants from various parts of the country including the Northern and Eastern provinces are taking part at the Achiever Awards for 2013 and the respective Industrial sectors such as paints manufacturing ,food processing , rubber and plastics , leather and foot wear, building construction industry , electrical and appliance manufacturing , light engineering , machine manufacturing , glass and ceramic manufacturing , rubber products including rubber based automotive parts manufacturing , gem and jewelry , tyre manufacturing , roller shutters and doors ,roofing materials manufacture , spice products , poultry and processing , agriculture products,polymer products, hydraulic, road construction , tea processing and packaging , coir , batik , automobile/ vehicle assembling and manufacturing, biscuits and related food products manufacturing / insurance industry/ plus the leisure and entertainment sector enterprises are included and they will be subjected to a stringent evaluation process for the prestigious Achiever Awards 2013.

These Achiever awards are chosen by the Chamber CNCI by subjecting all applications to a stringent evaluation procedure , mainly through an audit and financial verification , then by evaluation of all strategic factors expected through a special internal panel and by final Evaluation by an eminent panel of Judges headed by Prof Eng Ananda Jayawardena , the Vice Chancellor of the University of Moratuwa.

The Final panel of Judges will include all top officials from Engineering , Industry , Management , Marketing , Quality Assuarence , productivity, Marketing , Banking sectors and also the higher officials of the Sri Lanka standard Institution/ Sri Lanka Accreditation Board , Sri Lanka Consumer affairs Authority, The Central Environmental Authority etc . Such an eminent panel is expected to deliver fair and transparent , Independant judgment on Applicants Performances As observed by the Chamber CNCI , Sri Lankan industries too are subject to various global pressure and unfavorable economic trends and fluctuating Trading patterns same as the other Asian counterparts , but the Chamber CNCI believes that generating the required strength and resilience within the Industry sectors is of vital importance. As such the Chamber constantly strive in providing necessary assistance , encouragement and creating enterprising spirit , by evaluating the Individual performances of Industrial enterprises by adopting professional procedures.

As such the Achiever Awards 2013 will be awarded and open for all deserving Enterprises in Sri Lanka , who excelled and exhibited operational excellence in their specific spheres of Industrial and manufacturing activity. The Chamber CNCI Believes that evaluations conducted during the Achiever awards competition will be a distinct indication of company performances and will be a valuable yardstick and an enthusiastic guide line for the senior management to implement corrective procedures to ensure and enhance the prestige of the of the Enterprise.

The Much awaited Achiever Awards 2013 Grand Presentation ceremony is expected to be held in September 2013 with the participation of a large gathering of respected Sri Lankan Cooperate sector enterprises and distinguish foreign and Local personalities. The Sri Lanka Telecom PLC and Bank of Ceylon , with the Ceylinco Insurance ( General ) PLC are the main Sponsors of this much admired national event for the Sri Lankan Industry .
