Singapore International Jewellery Show begins today

The National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) will participate in the Singapore International Jewellery Show 2013, for the seventh consecutive year beginning today. This is one of the biggest international trade shows for the gem and jewellery sector in the region.

Twelve top Sri Lankan companies will be showcasing their products at today’s event under the patronage of the NGJA. They will promote their gemstones and jewellery and showcase stunning gemstones, jewellery designs and presents a range of exotic jewellery pieces inspired by our culture and heritage. The exhibition which starts today will go on till July 7 held at Marina Bay Sands organized by the Singapore Gem and Jewellery Authority.

Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy Susil Premajayantha will be participating in this important event as the guest of honour, while Chairman of the NGJA Amitha Kumara Gamage and other top officials and decision makers in the Authority will be participating at the event.

This show will be concerned with showcasing of gems and jewellery and will be a glamour filled show that will highlight on the trendy and latest collection of jewels and gems. The products that will be displayed at the event will range from earth inspired emerald, fluidity infused moonstone to the fiery fire opal. It is a not to be missed show for all lovers of gems and jewellery. The expected number of exhibitors for this prestigious Singapore International Jewellery Show is 190 belonging to 25 different countries and there will be around 16,000 visitors, both trade and public.

This show will attract buyers and retailers from ASEAN and Asia Pacific region who are looking for new designs, knowledge and new business opportunities. The visitors will include jewelers, watch and clock makers, gold and silversmiths, mineralogists, gem setters, diamond experts, gemologists, owners and employees of antique shops, engravers, etc.

The local companies that are participating for the event are; Gamini Gem and Jewellery (Pvt) Ltd, Ceylon Beauty Gems, Neil Gems, D.B Enterprises, Sena Gem Trading House (Pvt) Ltd, Saf’s Classique Gems (Pvt) Ltd, Super Shine Gems, The Gold Gems, Nawamini.Com (Pvt) Ltd, Regal Gems (Pvt) Limited, Nem Lanka Jewellers and Sweeny Jewellers.
