Malik Abdullah University College in Batticaloa

The Malik Abdullah University College in the Batticaloa District would be inaugurated in August, by President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of College, was signed in Kattankudy cultural hall recently, between the Youths Affairs and Skills Development Ministry and the sponsor of the college, Sheik Yehyan Abdul Azees Al Rashid of Saudi Arabia. Youth Affairs and Skills Development Minister Dallus Alahapperuma, Economic Development Deputy Minister M.L.A.M. Hisbullah, Eastern Province Chief Minister Najeeb Abdul Majeed and Batticaloa District Secretary and Government Agent P.M.K. Charls were also present.
