Mother of three injured in accident

A 55-year-old mother of three was knocked down by a vehicle and seriously injured when she was crossing the road opposite the Dambulla technical college.

She was later admitted to the Dambulla base hospital and transferred to the Kandy general hospital under a critical condition.

The victim was identified as M S M A Fathima, a resident of Nikawatawana area.

The driver along with the vehicle were taken into custody by the Police.

Dambulla Police are investigating.
