Be careful of what you eat, says MOH

People should be more aware of non communicable diseases and the food they consume, said Medical Officer of Health, Akkaraipattu Dr I L Siddique.

He was addressing a workshop organized for the employees of the Akkaraipattu Municipal Council at the Akkaraipattu Athaullah auditorium recently.

Dr Siddique said: "We do not pay much attention to food. Due to lack of physical exercise, people are diabetic, suffering from blood pressure, heart diseases and paralysis."

"We should refrain from taking oily and fatty food to prevent diseases. We suffer a lot by being affected by these diseases. Therefore, we should take care about our daily food intake. It will be difficult to escape these diseases once we are affected," he said.
