Revolutionaries trying to mislead youths - Minister
The minds of youths could be influenced easily. So called
revolutionaries were trying to make use of it to mislead youths by
mixing their emotions and radicalism with revolutionary ideas and incite
violence to disrupt peace, said said Private Transport Services Minister
C.B. Ratnayake.

He was addressing a meeting held to mark the handing over of a newly
built house at Shanthipura in Nuwara Eliya to Ruwan Pradeep Kumara, a
member of the Kalapura Hiru Youth Club.
The house was built under the Sri Lanka Youth Housing Project.
Minister Ratnayake said "although activists of certain political
parties are crying hoarse about democracy in the country, we should
understand that dictatorship is built up in their revolutionary
activity".
He said even though these so called revolutionaries alleged that
there is no democracy in the country and the government shirked its
responsibility of providing facilities for the people, they can realize
their dictatorial tendencies once they leave the ranks of such
revolutionaries.
Minister Ratnayake said Youth Affairs and Skills development Minister
Dullas Alahapperuma who understood the radical tendency of the youths
launched a programme to divert youth energy towards the country's
development effort.
