Rare book on Prophet's life unearthed in Puttalam Public Library

A Tamil anthology depicting Prophet Muhammad's life published in India in 1929 has been found in the reference section of the Puttalam Public Library. The price of this rare book had been Rs 5.

This book drew the attention of the team inspecting the Puttalam Public Library for a competition to select the best public library for efficiency and performance in the North Western Province. This 84-year-old book was removed from the shelves to be exhibited in the upper floor of the library on the instructions of Putalam Urban Council chairman K.A. Baiz.

Baiz said the Puttalam Library is likely to be selected as the best library in the North Western Province.
