Faculty of Applied Sciences emerge champions

Faculty of Applied Sciences emerged champions with 51 points at the
Inter Faculty Freshers’ Sports Meet conducted by the Department of
Physical Education of the SEUSL at the Oluvil campus Esplanade on
Thursday.
Faculty of Arts and Culture secured the second place with 48 points
while the third and fourth places were obtained by Faculty of Islamic
Studies and Arabic language and Faculty of Engineering with 45 and 43
points respectively. Faculty of Managements and Commerce was placed
fifth with 40 points.
A good number of fresher’ consisting of all three communities from
all parts of Sri Lanka actively participated in these competitions and a
keen contest was witnessed at Oluvil Campus Grounds where a large number
students were present along with their lectures to witness these
events..
Instructor Physical Education of the SEUSL M.L.A.Thahir organized
this Meet with the active support of the Deans of the Faculties and
Heads of departments.
Director /OTS K.M.Mubarak, Director/Student’s Support Services and
Welfare M.A.M. Sameem and Heads of Departments participated as Guests
and introduced to the teams of the final matches and gave away the
awards to the winners, runners up and students who excelled various
talent competitions .
