Bull brings death to motorcyclist

A man riding a motorcycle who was injured when a bull tethered to a tree, cut across his path causing him to fall off the bike, died in hospital, Gokarella Police said yesterday. The Kurunegala magistrate ordered a report into the incident. Galapita Gedara Dharmasena, 43, was admitted to Gokarella Hospital and later to the National Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

AJMO G. Elangovan who conducted the postmortem attributed the cause of death to Cranio cerebral injuries. The bull's owner told the Police after tethering the animal to a tree at Kajugahawatte Bund Road, he had gone for a drink.PC R. Ratnayake conducted investigations.
