Cycling at Anuradhapura

The annual District Cycling Championship organized by the Anuradhapura District Cycling Association will be held tomorrow , starting from the Pothanegama junction in Anuradhapura. The cost of the cycle tour will be born by the North Central President of the Self Employees' Association of Divi Neguma National Programme and Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara's coordinating secretary R S Nanayakkara.

The events will be super men and women, under 23 men (road) and women (standard) events. Sri Lanka Army men's cycling team will also be competing in the Super Men's division. Boys' and Girls' events will be conducted, targeting the national schools cycling championship and it will be open for cyclists from the Anuradhapura District, representing their respective schools.

North Central province Chief Minister S M Ranjith will distribute trophies and certificates at the presentation ceremony which will also see the participation of Mayor H P Somadasa, International Cycling referee N karunarathne and Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara's coordinating secretary R S Nanayakkara.
