Elephant House Karutha Kolumban ice cream with fresh mangoes
The succulent mangoes that go into Elephant House Karutha Kolumban
ice cream are sourced entirely from local fruit growers located mainly
in Jaffna and the surrounding areas such as Vavuniya, Kilinochchi,
Dambulla and Wellawaya.
This is good news for the millions of Elephant House ice cream
consumers who have come to love the 'local' flavour of this dessert.
Local ice cream market leader Elephant House was the first to introduce
fresh mango in a frozen dessert to Sri Lankan consumers, and therefore
it is not surprising that, since its launch Elephant House Karutha
Kolumban ice cream has grown increasingly popular.
Neil Samarasinghe, Head of Frozen Confectionery at Ceylon Cold Stores
PLC , Elephant House, and Vice President, John Keells Holdings PLC said,
"We launched Elephant House Karutha Kolumban ice cream to bring our
consumers a complete dessert that combines fresh local fruit and rich
ice cream. While introducing a unique flavour to ice cream lovers, we
have also been able to create and develop a market for yet another
locally grown fruit." |
