Chamath's efforts go in vain

Chamath Chamuputhi's fine bowling spell of 3 for 7 went in vain as team 'B' won the match against team 'A' at the inter-house under-12 limited 25 over cricket tournament match of Panadura CC played at Panadura recently.

Taking the first lease of the wicket Panadura 'B' team scored 99 for five in 21.3 overs. Vihanga Kavishka spelled an unbeaten half century studded with six boundaries. Spinner Chamath Chamupathi snatched three wickets for seven while Prabash Jayasekara took two wickets for 21.

In reply, Panadura 'B' team were also shot out for a mere 98 in 20 overs. Prabash Jayasekara (26) and Chamath Chamupathi (22) were the main contributors. Wathsala Ridmal, Abishek Deshan and Manula Perera bagged two wickets each.

Panadura CC B : 99 for 5 in 21.3 overs( Vihanga Kavishka 55 n.o.,Chamath Chamupathi 3 for 7, Prabash Jayasekara 2 for 21)

Panadura CC A : 98 in 20 overs (Prabash Jayasekara 26, Chamath Chamupathi 22, Wathsala Ridmal 2 for 18, Abishek Deshan 2 for 28 and Manula Perera 2 for 18)
