HR Service expo from june 18
Janaka Kumarasinghe |
Director Kent Ridge and Former IPM President, Janaka Kumarasinghe
would be the chief guest at the HR Service Providers Exhibition 2013
which would be held at Waters Edge on June 18 and 19, along with the
National HR Conference 2013.
In 2002, IPM started the HR Services Providers Exhibition with the
intention of promoting HR Service Providers who were key links in the
human resource management value chain. IPM wants to drive the HR related
industry which was gathering momentum at that time.
The idea of an HR service provider's exhibition was initiated by
Janaka Kumarasinghe, as the Vice President of IPM in 2001, after
observing events of such nature in Singapore, while being a masters
student of NUS. As the president of IPM during 2002-2004, he was also
been instrumental in introducing a number of features to the annual
conference, such as the Award of Gold Medals at the CEO forum,
International participation and thereby making the HR conference and
event of international stature promoting the profession and practices of
HR management.
Therefore it is a fitting tribute, for a pioneer to be invited as
Chief Guest to grace the occasion at the inaugurating HR Service
Exhibition.
There would be several stallholders promoting their HR related
products and services at the exhibition. The event is organized under
the patronage of President and the Council of IPM led by Shanaka
Fernando and Major General Rohan Kaduwela, Chairmen of the organizing
Committees.
