NCCSL to hold seminar on energy management
The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) will hold a
seminar on “Managing Energy use to reduce Electricity Bills’ on
Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm at the Chamber
Auditorium, D. R. Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo 10.
The main purpose of the seminar is to educate consumers, both
individual and corporate, and to provide them with professional advice
and guidance as to how they could manage energy consumption by using
electricity efficiently with an ultimate target of having a reduced and
manageable monthly electricity bill.
There are many steps which could be adopted to reduce the electricity
bill by making their usage efficient.
With the increased electricity bill, competitiveness of the products
and services is deteriorating while the cost of living is also
increasing rapidly.
Only way of reducing the monthly electricity bill, in the present
circumstances, is by proper management of energy used in house holds as
well as in business organizations.
Harsha Wickramasinghe, Deputy Director General (Operations), Sri
Lanka, Sustainable Energy Authority will provide valuable information
and points that help reduce monthly electricity bill.
Wickramasinghe is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer who has served in
the plantation and industrial sector with special focus on operational
efficiency. Dr. Tilak Siyambalapitiya, a highly recognized international
energy expert will join the panel discussion and give his expert advice
on efficient usage of energy. Participants will be able to reduce their
energy bill significantly if they follow the advices and guidance
given by the expert at the seminar.
Individual house holders, industrialists, agriculturalist, service
providers or anyone who want to know the techniques of reducing
electricity bill are encouraged to participate.
