Golden Stars Sports Club, Deiyanwela, Kandy won the 'A' Division Soccer Title when they beat York Soccer Club of Bogambara, Kandy in the finals of the Knock-out Soccer Tournament conducted by Kandy Association Football League held at the Bogambara Grounds on May 17, 2013.

The match ended in a one all draw when Roshan Bandara centre forward of Kandy York scored a goal for his team in the 40th minute of the game and W M T Sampath who plays as right back scored a goal for Golden Stars in the 75th minute of the game.

Referree Jayantha Kumara awarded penalty kicks to decide the match and Golden Stars won by 4 goals to 1.
