Republic Day meeting

A new constitution to strengthen democracy and national unity! Is the theme of the Republic Day Meeting on Wednesday May 22 at 4.30 pm at the New Town Hall, (Nelum Pokuna Mawatha, Colombo 7) organized by the Socialist Alliance Introduction to the meeting will be made by Socialist Alliance General Secretary Raja Collure. The Guest speakers are Prof Sumanasiri Liyanage and Dr Selvy Thiruchandran. General Secretary Lanka Sama Samaja Party, Minister Prof Tissa Vitharana, General Secretary Communist Party of Sri Lanka, Minister DEW Gunasekera, General Secretary Democratic Left Front, Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara will also address the meeting.

DSPPA to hand over 100 school chairs

The handing over of 100 school hall chairs in commemoration of the deaf school's 100 years will be held on Thursday May 30 at the Stanley Hall, the school for the Deaf, Ratmalana from 10.00 am.

Former Principal of the school Marie Wijeyaratne will be the chief guest.
