Hutch extends service network with Singer Sri Lanka

Hutch has made available its bill payments and recharging facilities of their customers to over 350 Singer outlets island-wide.


Asoka Peiris, CEO, Singer and Thirukumar Nadarasa, CEO of Hutch, signed a contract in the presence of other officials from Singer, including Priyath, Finance Director, Viresh Gomes, Senior Manager Financial Services and Nasser Majeed, Marketing Director.

The company recently signed a contract at the Singer Head Office, redefining its longstanding partnership with the nation’s leading consumer goods retailer, to facilitate an enhanced customer experience.

Hutch postpaid customers would have access to bill payment facilities, whilst prepaid users could top up their accounts similar to that offered at standard retail outlets. This facility would be available at all Singer Showrooms, Singer Mega Shops, Singer Home Shops and Sisil World Shops island-wide.

Among those presented from Hutch were Ashish Shetty, Head of Finance, Ramzeena Lye, Head of Sales & Marketing, Ramesh Nonis, AGM Alliances & Devices, and Melroy Thomas, Assistant Manager Re-charge Management.

Peiris said, “It is a WIN WIN situation for both. For our customers, it is an added service. Customers can pay the Hutch Bills & Re-load, while shopping at SINGER outlets.’’

Nadarasa said, ‘‘Building and extending our service network to our subscriber base, has always been a priority. We are delighted to have partnered with the most trusted name in household appliances, to enable payments through their extensive retail outlets with many other additions to come in the future.’’ Hutch today, has the second largest 3G broadband network in Sri Lanka, with coverage in all 25 districts nationwide. It is also being recognized as delivering one of the best quality 3G services to its subscribers.

With its latest offering of 3G/WiFi portable routers, subscribers would now be able to use it to connect a number of Wi-Fi enabled appliances offered by Singer, such as televisions, computers and cameras, to enjoy the full benefits of these products.
