SL into WTTC main draw

Rohan Sirisena and Ishara Madurangi qualified for the main draw mixed doubles first round of the World Table Tennis Championship working off in France. Sri Lankan duo made their way to the main draw after defeating Costa Rica and Maldova.

Meanwhile Nuwani Vithanage with Nirmala Jayasingha defeated Irish pair John Murphy and Sarah Timlin.

Most of our players did reasonably well in their qualification round. They were able to win some first round group matches and lost some matches as well.

Sri Lanka women's double players lost to Wales and Indonesia while the local men's double players went down to Lebanon and Chile
