Manel claims his legitimacy for wushu Presidency

Sri Lanka Wushu Federation president Manel Dharmakeerthi mentioned
that the ongoing legal actions would affect the third National Junior
Wushu Championship which is scheduled to be held tomorrow (May 17).
He stated this in a press conference at Hotel Nippon Yesterday
organized by the organization to protect Sri Lanka Wushu Federation.
Manel Dharmakeerthi, who was unanimously elected as the President of
the association said that an organization called Sri Lanka Wushu Guild
has blamed that the election is unfair, but their allegations have no
proper base. He explained that he is the most suitable person for the
Presidency. Dharmakeerthi was elected in the fair way and he has
evidences to prove it. The Sports Ministry is investigating into the
complains logged by Sri Lanka Wushu Guild.
The wushu sport in Sri Lanka is conducting to the highest standard
and becoming a very popular sport at the moment and Manel pointed out
that he is ready to work co-operatively with Schools Wushu Association
and other wushu associations in the country according to the
international wushu rules and regulations.
He also told that he is very glad about the support given by Sports
Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage for the betterment of wushu sport.
