Big time heroin dealer in hot water

A big time heroin dealer living in comfort in a luxury house in Aruppola, Kandy, bought from selling drugs through a selected group of sub-dealers was nabbed by officers of the Kandy Police Frauds Unit who raided his house recently.

Police said the suspect had 48 packets of heroin stuffed in his trouser pockets at the time of arrest.

Investigations revealed that he had served a one and a half year prison term in the Maldives earlier for selling heroin in that country.

Police investigations are continuing directed by OIC of the Unit Pradeep Kottage supervised by SSP Gamini Ellepola.
