Please help Kavinda

K A Omesh Kavinda, 14, a student of Nalanda (Boys) National School, Minuwangoda, is suffering from an acute kidney disease. Both of his kidneys have become dysfunctional. Specialist Doctor R P Lanerolle of the Colombo National Hospital has recommended a kidney transplant to save his life.

The child needs an 'O' group kidney. A large sum of money would be needed for the surgery. Child's father K A Lasantha Dhammika of Siyambalagahamula Road, Medemulla, Minuwangoda, says they are not in a position to foot the bill and appeals to the public for financial help to save the child. Donations can be remitted to A/C No. 74620856 at the Bank of Ceylon, Minuwangoda branch.
