Trilogy Environmental Systems INC, a Canadian water and wastewater solutions provider plans to enter the Sri Lankan market with the introduction of its environmental systems. In a press briefing held at Galadari, Rogelio Lozano, Engineering coordinator Trilogy said, that they possessed different plants for water treatment which were custom designed for the needs of the customer. This applies to sea, river and well water treatment.

Christ Ramgopal, President and CEO said, Sri Lanka was their first destination in Asia and that they were contemplating opening a plant in one of the free trade zones in Sri Lanka with the collaboration of the Canadian government and a local partner. Trilogy designs and manufactures portable ultrafiltration plants using the latest generation membranes and incorporating cutting-edge purification technologies to provide a safe and consistent supply of water, while cutting costs by reducing chemical and energy consumption. These ultrafiltration systems were designed to effectively treat surface water, well water, borehole water, process water, wastewater among other water sources dealing with high turbidity.

Trilogy Environmental Systems uses the latest technology in ultrafiltration cartridges to provide a safe and consistent water supply. The ultrafiltration system offers a substantial cost savings and low logistical operating requirements.

Trilogy has also introduced human powered water systems. Trilogy provides portable ultrafiltration solutions using the latest generation membranes and incorporating cutting-edge purification technologies to provide a safe and economical supply of water.

These ultrafiltration systems were designed to effectively treat surface water, well-water, borehole water, process water, wastewater among other water sources dealing with high turbidity.

Ultrafiltration removes, Suspended solids (Colloids, Silt), Sulfates, Nitrates and other tertiary compounds, some dissolved solids (TOC, BOD and COD), pathogenic cysts (Parasites), 99.99% of viruses 99.9999% of bacteria.

Trilogy's plants were built based on a mobile, modular platform that makes them portable and cost effective. Trilogy's human powered water filtration systems are designed for use in situations where electricity is not available, they are 100% manual powered and able to produce potable water for up to 1,000 persons per day.

Trilogy's human powered ultrafiltration plants are recommended for human relief, small isolated communities, family farms and agricultural operations.

The units require minimal maintenance as long as they are kept consistently clean; the cleaning of the membranes is easy and consists of a back flush with clean water.

Trilogy also provides different configurations and custom solutions for larger scale water treatment using alternative energy sources.
