Sports Minister congratulates Lankan medalists

Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage congratulated the Sri Lankan medal winners at the Asian Grand Prix 2013 which concluded at the Sugathadasa National Sports Complex, Colombo with the participation of 241 athletes representing 22 countries, the Sports Ministry said.

Minister Aluthgamage congratulated the Sri Lankan gold medal winners Nadeeka Lakmali who clinched the women's javelin throw gold medal, Manjula Kumara who won the men's high jump gold medal and W K L A Nimali who won the women's 800m gold medal.

Minister Aluthgamage also congratulated the silver medalists Kasun Kalhara Seneviratne (men's 400m), Sachith Maduranga (men's javelin throw), and the bronze medalists Kumara Kalinga (men's 400m), D L Samarajeewa (men's 5000m) and the 4x100m women's team.
