Mobile phone threat to computer

The mobile phone has almost replaced the alarm clock and the calculator, similarly it would eliminate the computer in the future,” said CCO, Etisalat, Robert Lee.

Speaking at the launch of the 'e-Mobile Adz' by ANCL with Dialog, Mobitel and Etisalat, he said in USA and Australia there was a 100% Smartphone penetration. “We expect this to be 40% in Asia.”

He said that Sri Lankans were keen to adapt to new technology and expressed hopes that the Sri Lankan samrtphone penetration would reach 100% in two years.
