A new vocational and skills
development unit was established at the Sri Lanka Mahaweli
Authority Zonal Project Director’s Office premises (Zone B)
at Welikanda in Polonnaruwa recently. The unit was set up
with the objective of modernizing public institutions and
empowering public officials with modern technology under the
guidance of Public Management Reforms Minsiter Navin
Dissanayake. Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena,
Irrigation, Water Resources Management Minister Nimal
Siripala de Silva and Public Management Reforms Minsiter
