The winning entry

Lalith Ekanayake

Renowned and award winning wildlife photographer Surgeon Rear Admiral Lalith won a Bronze Medal in the nature category at the Austrian Trierenberg Super Circuit International Photography Competition in 2013.

He is the first Sri Lankan to achieve this feat in the nature category at this competitive contest with world-wide participation.

Ekanayake won the second place at the Wexas International Wildlife Photography Contest in United Kingdom 2012, UPI Gold Medal and PSSL Bronze Medal at the 57th PSSL Photography Contest 2012, first place at Chaaya Wild Photo Contest 2012, third and fourth places at the Sanctuary Asia Photo Contest in India 2011 and commended at the Oasis International Photo Contest in Italy 2012. His work has also been published in many parts of the world.
