Chamila’s fine all-round performance helps KCC victory

Kandy Cricket Club scored a ten-wicket win over Rajarata Cricket Club, Anuradhapura in their Division two cricket tournament match organized by the Sri Lanka Cricket played at Samadhi grounds, Anuradhapura yesterday.

Highlight of the match was the good all-round performance by Chamila Gunasekera who scored 60 with 8 fours and also took a match bag of 7 for 93.

Rajarata CC 150 all out in 42.2 overs (Chaminda Fernando 34, Aruna Prasad 31, Eranga Priyadharshana 33, Deduna Sanjeewa 3 for 10, Chamila Gunasekera 2 for 55, Suneth Hettiarachchi 2 for 33) and 138 all out in 38.2 overs (Thushan Ratwatte 22, Aruna Prasad 20, Eranga Priyadharshana 23, Deshan Naleen 22 not out, Chamila Gunasekera 5 for 38, Suneth Hettiarachchi 2 for 16).

Kandy CC 270 all out in 63.1 overs (Chamila Gunasekera 60, Chami Ambagaspitiya 55, Ahamed Muaaz 42, Deduna Sanjeewa 37, Rasika Udayanga 3 for 21, Chamila Fernando 3 for 75, Heshan Naleen 2 for 33) and 20 for no loss in 0.5 overs (Chamila Ambagaspitiya 20 not out).
