The annual Police pre-school New Year Festival Singithi Bakmaha Ulela
was held recently at the pre-school premises among a large gathering
including the parents of the pre-school children.
Neepa Sarangee Illagakoon,wife of IGP N K Illangakoon was the Chief
Guest. Guests of Honour were Lasantha Munasinghe, Shirani Dissanayake,
Manori Navaratne, Kanthi Perera and Asoka Rathanathillaka.
A number of items including a fashion parade, Avurudu Kumari and
Avurudu Kumara contests were held.
Police Media Spokesman SP Buddhika Siriwardena, Chief Inspector
Mahinda Udugama of the Police Media Centre, Principal of the Police
Pre-School WSI Ethel Joice and other staff members of the Pre-School
were also present at the event.
The proceedings were conducted by Sergeant Nimal Abeysinghe.
