Telecom workers nabbed stealing underground cable

Wadduwa Police arrested six employees of Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) while stealing an underground cable on information provided by an executive officer of SLT while traveling in his car along Wadduwa, Morontuduwa on April 12. The Police will produce the six suspects before the Kalutara Magistrate.

Wadduwa Police OIC Sarath Weerasinghe with crime branch officials are investigating. The Police also took into custody a SLT motor cab which the suspects used to travel to steal the copper underground cable. The incident took place on April 12 midnight.
