HNB opens landmark 250th Customer Centre in Walasmulla
Hatton National Bank opened the landmark 250th customer centre in the
town of Walasmulla in the Southern Province in Sri Lanka. This is the
25th Customer Centre that HNB opened in the South demonstrating its
commitment to the people in the South and aligning itself with the
development efforts taking place in the South.

The Chief Guest for the opening was Dr Ranee Jayamaha, Chairperson,
Hatton National Bank.
Dr Jayamaha said that the 250th HNB Customer Centre in Walasmulla in
the Southern Province is yet another milestone in inspiring the people
through our financial solutions and a true testament to the overall
vision of the bank. She said that Southern Province boasts potential and
is in a transitional period through its vast projects and development
initiatives and is on the verge of becoming a major contributor to shape
the national economy in the coming years.
Dr Jayamaha said by opening this customer centre in Walasmulla will
give the unique opportunity to the emerging business community in the
Matara and Hambantota districts to grow with HNB in the backdrop of vast
development envisaged in the South.
Speaking on the occasion Jonathan Alles, Deputy Chief Executive
Officer of Hatton National Bank said that HNB is the first private
commercial bank in Walasmulla which is a strong agri and cultivation
bent area focusing on cinnamon and coconut cultivation.
He said that HNB's aggressive branch expansion strategy in the last
three years saw more than 60 new customer centres being opened across
the country.
He added the bank's investment in IT infrastructure will make it
possible for people in Walasmulla to experience a comprehensive range of
products and services including the latest Mobile Banking solution of
HNB. |
