Record price for Ampittiakande tea

Ampittiakande Group which is owned by Richard Pieris Group of company managed by Maskeliya Plantations PLC has once again secured all time record price for grade BOPI at the Public Auction which has held on the April 10, 2013.

This line of tea was purchased by J-Cey-Tea (Pvt) Ltd for Rs 610 per kilo. The tea was sold by M/S Eastern Brokers Ltd an official from Ampittiakande Group said.
