O-L star to receive house

Sahan Lakshitha Wijewantha of Karawita, Ratnapura, a student of St Aloysius Vidyalaya, Ratnapura who became the 5th student in the country with best results at the 2012 GCE OL examination will be awarded a house under the instructions of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The President learning about the achievement of the student and the economic conditions of his family, directed Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa to provide a house.

Minister Weerawansa instructed the National Housing Development Authority to purchase a plot of land in the Ratnapura town and commence work of the house. Sahan told the minister when he and his family met the minister on April 9 at the ministry in Sausiripaya, Battaramulla that he appreciated the President's move to provide them a house.
