Stage set for OAC Open Squash

Otter Aquatic Club (OAC) Open Squash Championship 2013 organized by the OAC and the Sri Lanka Squash Federation (SLSF) will be held from March 30 to April 6 at the OAC squash quarts.

The tournament attracts around 2250 competitors including national front liners.

There will be 17 main events for men, boys and girls including the men's open and seven novices' events for boys and girls including the women's novices.

The organizers revealed that novices events for boys' under 11, 13, 15 and girls' under 11, 13, 15 and men's and women's novices will only be worked off if they received more than eight entries per event.

Entry forms are available at OAC and Tamil Union. The entries will close on Wednesday 27 at 2pm and should be submitted to SLSF secretariat at Tamil Union. The draw will be held at 6pm on the same day and will be displayed at the OAC and Tamil Union by 6pm on March 29.

The organizers expect tough competition since this is the first ranking tournament this year. All matches will start at 3pm on working days and at 9am at weekends.

Events to be worked off -men's open, men's and women's novices, men's veterans over 50, masters over 45, men's over 35, boys under 19, 17, 15, 13, 11 and 9 , girls' under 19- 9. Age cut off date is April 6, 2013.
