Ministry Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa handed over
appointment letters to rehabilitated LTTE cadres who have
been reunited for the John Keells IT/BPO project in Jaffna
at a ceremony at the ministry yesterday. These projects
which will reduce rural employment using ICT was mooted by
the Presidential Secretariat and the Industry Sub committee
of the Presidential Task Force on English. It embarked on an
initiative to create IT/BPOs in rural areas. Special
emphasis was made to create opportunities for North and East
