Workshop on policy studies
A Resource Mobilization Workshop organised by the Institute of Policy
Studies will be held tomorrow at 7 pm at the Club Palm Bay Hotel,
Marawila. It will continue until March 17. About 30 South Asian think
tank heads and senior research staff members with donor representatives
will be participating in this event.
It is held under the patronage of International Monetary Co-operation
Senior Minister and Finance and Planning Deputy Minister Dr. Sarath
Amunugama.
A lecture titled How Economic Policies are made in Sri Lanka will be
delivered by Minister Amunugama.
The key objective of the regional meeting is to share knowledge,
practices and experiences on being a successful policy research
organisation and to encourage networking and collaboration among
institutions in South Asia.
The Resource Mobilization Workshop is intended to enable participants
and expert resource persons to share and discuss South Asian think
tanks’ experiences of attracting support from funding partners and other
stakeholders, both international and domestic, and highlight the
individual and organisational skills and capabilities required to do so.
